Scene Library & Marketplace

The Scene Library is where you view, organize, and launch all the Synesthesia content (Scenes) you have access to.

Finding Scenes

The Unified Search Bar at the top of the library helps you find scenes: - Search: Type any part of a scene or artist's name to filter your library, or select a prefilled term from the dropdown. - Custom Tagging: Filter by the tags we include in the built-in and marketplace scenes, or add your own custom tags to organize your library. - Source Filtering: Filter scenes based on their source folder. - Stars & Colors: Use the star and color labels to quickly sort and filter your favorites or categorize scenes by mood, genre, gig, or any system you choose. - Combining Terms: Multiple search terms or filters will be combined to narrow or broaden your results depending on the type. For example, multiple "Source" filters will show results for each folder, while multiple "Tag" filters will show results that have all of the selected tags.

Thumbnail Sizing

Use the sizing icons in the library header to switch between Small, Medium, and Large thumbnails. Smaller thumbnails let you see more scenes at once, while larger thumbnails show more visual detail.

Scene Marketplace

The built-in Marketplace is where you can discover and add new scenes to Synesthesia, while directly supporting the artists who made them.

Browsing

Explore curated collections and new releases from the Synesthesia community. The marketplace can be opened with the blue button in the Library header or sidebar navigation.

Live Watermarked Preview

You can "try before you buy" by live-previewing any marketplace scene. The scene will load into Synesthesia with a watermark, allowing you to see how it reacts to your active audio and media in real-time.

Preview With Your Own Media

During a preview, you can load your own images or videos to see how the scene responds to your content.

Purchasing & Redownloading

Once purchased, scenes are automatically downloaded and installed into your custom scene folder. You can redownload owned scenes at any time from your account page.
